No offense, @mac266 , but if we spent all of our time "checking out" Craigslist, we wouldn't accomplish anything here.

Are ALL Craigslist listings that stupid? If that is typical, RUN away, run away VERY FAST! On what PLANET is that coin not obscenely overpriced?!?!?

 

I felt so strongly the same way that I actually sent him an email informing him of such. I'll post his reply if he bothers

 

And his coins are blurry too.

 

IMHO, anything more than 25 cents for a SBA dollar is paying too much.
That written, here is a guy that will sell you certified coins like those in the OP for a fraction of the price. He has 10 available:

In PCGS slab, solid 64, less blurry, way lower price. Huh.

I spend quite a bit of time viewing astonishingly bad values in the world of Peace Dollars. It isn't uncommon to find deals like this on eBay:

 

Uh huh. And you still spend time looking at listings there why exactly?

 

I find decent deals every couple of hundred coins.
I'm still pretty new at this so my idea of a good deal would probably make you laugh.

Sometimes I can buy nice examples of certified coins at 80% of Greysheet, which I consider to be doing pretty well.

 

but it's a "RARE" SBA !!

 

Not a yield rate worth doing for me.

 

It is quickly losing its appeal.

 

Remember, my biggest challenge in this hobby is paring down the ridiculously huge number of opportunities I get to interact with nice coins, not looking for more.

 

And $7.20 for postage, too, wow!

FWIW there ARE some amazing bargains on eBay... so glad the cognoscenti hasn't spread the word.

I have a bunch SBAs I put away back when they became available in currency. I'd always thought they were only worth a dollar .. or less
