Couple of days back, I bought a 15000000 Turkish commemorative Lira silver proof coin. Are there any other coins which are of higher denomination?
Here is a 150 million (old) lira commem from Turkey ... http://www.darphane.gov.tr/english/eclinton1.htm ... and if you include German notgeld, there is the famous "1 Billion Mark" coin from Westphalia. (Note that a German "Billion" is a US trillion.) That piece did not actually circulate but was primarily used to raise funds for caritative purposes. Christian
