Let me start with the good. It appeared to have a lot of activity. I have never been on the first day before. and from what I could see the crowd was much larger than last year. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to talk with two Coin Talk Members. I had a nice conversation with @ToughCOINS, which I met initially last year and it was great to see him again. I also got to meet for the first time @Publius2. Had a nice conversation with him also. Hope you have a Happy Birthday, a great day to go beyond one's normal coin budget. Now for the bad. I have driven to Orlando well over a hundred times, and I had driven to Orlando just a week earlier to bring my son home from college. Furniture, pots and pans, and stuff from the apartment I no longer have to pay rent for each month. His apartment is about 20 miles further east of the Fun Show. I left my house a half-hour earlier than my trip the week before. I had made arrangments to meet @johnmilton after his class. Well, the traffic was so bad it took me over 3 hours to reach the Fun Show. By the time I got there he was already finished. Needless to say we didn't get to meet, and that really bothers me still. If I say I'm going to be somewhere at a certain time I don't fail in doing this. I apologize to you John. Overall it looks as though the coin collecting world appears to be in my opinion alive and well. I also noticed msny lookers and buyers were certainly younger than me. I did wonder don't these people have jobs?
I wasn't there but I take days off of work to go coin shopping. It's the only way to do it if you have a job.
