    ironically i was lQQking at these yesterday...:D silver dollar with moon & bell'.jpg ..that IS the moon...i do believe...altho i must admit i've seen some coins posted for us to ID that lQQked a lil worse...:rolleyes:

    Also, I'd love to have a sestertius with a (natural) purple patina like OPs coin. That'd be amazing!

    I must admit, I quite like that. Would be an interesting object to hold and ponder the contours of our ever-present satellite.

    But then I sometimes find corroded coins attractive in their own unique way as well, so maybe it says more about me than about anything else!
