    The Texas commemorative is beautiful.

    The AGEs are my favorites.

The American Platinum Eagles (APEs ? :)) are always nicely done. I'm not crazy about the obverses, but I like the changing reverses.

The TX Comm looks to be in a NGC or ANACS slab...is that right?
Also when are we going to here the grade!!!!

Hey Guys..Good evening. The Texas Commem is a NGC Slab I suppose the white on the background gave that away...the AGE is PCGS you knew that..the APE is PCGS Prf 69 and the Texas is NGC -66

Thanks for asking..I am off to St. Louis in the morning...talk to you guys soon.

Well if it makes ya feel any better Speedy - I would have been 1 point low too. I wouldn't have gone 66 because of the fingerprint.

GDJ...ya know..you really cant see that with the naked eye. The photo was taken with a Nikor 105mm Micro lens and gets in really close.. but it is what it is and I will not cover it up...that is about the only flaw with this coin..

Well maybe I'm getting a little better yet...today I took in about coin to my dealer and said I had what I graded them down on a paper and wanted him to tell me what they graded....out of 5 I had 4 on the dot!!...one had nice toning and I didn't count that but he said that it would help and said MS65---I also had one I asked if he thought had been dipped...it had :-(...but I thought it might have been so it wasn't too bad.

    Hey Rickie
I would like to do the DVD school from ANA and maybe I will but I would much rather go out there and stay for a few weeks and do it out there...the only problem is talking mom into it...being the youngest kid makes it hard ;--)

So...now is the time to do it..while you are young...never deny yourself an opportunity to do something you have a strong interest in...maybe you can study at home?

   Did I read that correctly? Did Speedy just say "nice" and "toning"....together.....in reference to a coin? You feeling a bit feverish Speedy? Has the real Speedy been replaced by an alien imposter?

Joking aside, congrats on your growing grading skills. That's a journey I've only just begun :)

This is about the only time I have said that too !!!

My dad got a BU roll ( in the bank wrap ) of 1943-D Nickels...all of them were toned with soooooo putty colors...some went to NGC and came back MS66FS and one came back MS67FS!!!...that coin would sell for over $150 and was bought for about $10.

Hello Folks here is the most updated post of my gold collection. The photo is a wide angle and not a close up to view the coins as a group. Enjoy...
