    I got this letter today

    Hello Regular Reporters,

After 7 years I will no longer be working coin and stamp reports. I want to make you aware of a change that has occurred to the coin reporting process. Your reports are being automatically sent to a different tool to be reviewed and actioned. You will no longer receive responses to your reports and since I will no longer be reviewing them, I doubt that any action will be taken. Only reports sent from the listing page will reach an ebay representative. I fought against these changes but without success.

It has been a great pleasure working with all of you over the years and I sincerely appreciate the time and energy you spent helping the ebay site be a better place to buy and sell coins, currency and stamps. I didn't want you to think I just disappeared. I loved what I did and felt we all were making a difference, no matter how great or small. I will miss working with you.

    Again, thank you gentlemen.

    Very Best Regards,

    Judith Stair

Well, I guess they figured it was cheaper to keep shelling out Buyer Protection settlements than to pay a salary for one or two dedicated employees. Based on my personal experience (two case totaling $12K+ in March), I can't see how that could be true, but they have the numbers, not me.

Before long, I wouldn't be surprised if SleazeBay starts charging a "Buyer's Protection Fee".

This stinks big time , I've been using ebay less and less and now I'll make an effort to stop using ebay .
Without people like rlms'cents and others reporting to someone who cared the Chinese will put more junk up there . I feel bad for the honest sellers and buyers .

My guess is they are going to try something new and see how it works. Probably something more automated. I would imagine that if the buyer protection costs escalate drastically they will go back to the older system.

Hopefully this will help put another nail in the coffin of feebay and more of us reputable dealers will find another venue I make no secret of my dislike and boycott of this company if they went away totally I'd say good riddance is the complete disregard for especially the seller but any and all of Us smaller businesses for the big corporate sellers or conglomerates which sleaze bay is one when a big company with 10000 sales a month gets a negative feedback or has a problem customer nobody cares but when an honest but small guy gets a problem buyer or buys a fake from china were screwed in glad this will not effect me in the slightest

I love eBay and it serves me well, but I can also see how this will be problematic for many folks.

I just can't hate on having so many available coins at just the press of a button or the scroll of a mouse.

The original seller pays the refund in a Buyer Protection it is automatically paid out from the seller's Paypal balance. The elimination of people to monitor and enforce policy violations is strictly an expense cutting measure to increase profitability. Since the original owners sold the web site it has become user unfriendly for both buyer and seller. Customer service is at an all time low and they do not care.

I like ebay(to buy), but I wish more people would check out Webstore.com. I like the fact that they don't charge any FVFs. You only have Paypal's fee if you accept that.
