Time for another contest. :smile Just an update from the last one. I believe olzeck (Philippians) is still en route. I would like to make an apology to WheatyDigger for completely forgetting to mail his prize. My apologies (En-Route as well). So I was reflecting on the past and remembered how much I was into a video game (Rainbow 6). It consumed me, and I lost sight of my studies. It ended up that I didn't exactly get my choice of Universities as a result. I would like to encourage everyone to stay on top of their homework, as well as promote one of my favorite series. The Layout will be very simple. Just try your best in any of your courses to get an (A) on your next paper. If you get a (B), you are still eligible for the contest, but an (A) will earn you two entries. This will be a draw out of a hat format made by live video and posted shortly after 6 P.M. on Friday, Feb. 17th. It doesn't matter if you are in Jr. High, or a few months short of becoming a Dr. (CT member). You will need to post a picture of your grade, with a brief description of what you learned, and a date if possible. This does not have to be a page long, like the series write-up. !!Please cover up your name for privacy reasons!! Once again an (A) will get you 2 entries into the hat, and a (B) will get you one entry. I would also like to mention that are eligible to post up to three papers! This could give you a total of 6 entries. Furthermore, if you are the first to submit your entry, you will be given a bonus entry. I am sorry, but (C) papers, will just not cut it for an MS Slabbed FBL. I will use the honor system in handling all of the drawing/contest, and expect you to use the honor system by presenting your papers. I believe this is a wonderful half, but the drawback is that there will only be one prize winner. Whoever is drawn out of the hat come next Friday the 17th of Feb. at 6 P.M. Est. time will win this coin. It will be shipped 1st class the following morning. I decided to let this run a little longer to allow you time to do the proper amount of studying+ grading turnaround time. I am sorry if you miss the deadline of 17 Feb. at 6 P.M. but there will be more contests in the future. Synapses of Requirements: #1 Do your Assignment #2 Post results with date present (no names please) #3 Give us a description of the subject + what you learned (brief) TYVM ~Jason
I am a highschool student and I don't have any papers coming up, but I did get back some papers from a few days ago, can those be entered? Also, do tests count?
Much like VDB, I don't have any future papers. BUT I did submit one for grading the other day and haven't gotten it back, but it also isn't on the A B C scale. It is on Pass/Fail scale with 10 requirements and if you only meet 9 requirements, you fail and have to retry. Darned Scholarly paper... But on the other hand, If I do pass, I'd love to share it all with you guys.
Sure, it is only a name drawing, so homework/reports are fine. I thought it would be interesting if people shared their reports. Please try to include current work, and not report cards. I am not a teacher/professor, just trying to run a contest while promoting homework. It will only help us/hobby time in the long run.
is it O.K if I gave the name of the assignment and what I got on it and what I learned? My computer is just a little bit horrible.
Heres 3 papers I got within a week or so. The first one was about Ions and valence electrons and writing the symbols for ions and charges too and I got a 100. The second one is an English semi test that I got a 90 and they are how to use vocab words from the Crucible. The thrid is a science sheet about writing formulas and naming them for polyatomic compounds which I got a check plus on which is a 100 and it was out of 40 points. So that will be 7 enties I believe?
Ten likes and I'll share a coin related paper I wrote. (The one I am waiting on a grade right now (technically an A paper 90%)) Oh, and a pic: Excuse my side notes.
Well I have a Calculus II test tomorrow so I should have it back by Friday, maybe Wednesday. If I posted my first chemistry test results you'd probably take an entry out of the contest lol. I took it sick and on cold meds without studying much for the same reason. Only fell 4 points short of the class average though.
Last time I was in a classroom was 1972. Dear me, I believe all of those papers have been incinerated long ago. Time for the YN's to step up to bat........ [edit] Thanks Caz, for getting me off the 666 in likes. I was fearing that I might be turning out a tad too devilish......
my awful computer will not let me post any pictures, which is too bad because of my great grades. Here is my current report card (just sharing) Algebra: A (101%) History: A+ (110.8%) Science: A+ (100%) English: A (98.7%) P.E: A (97.1%) Band: I do not have the grade yet, but It should be about the same as last quarter, which was a whopping 198%, which my teacher gives to most students
