I was flipping thru the channels tonight, dang insomnia, and saw this joke of a show thats suppose to be a newscast I guess... the DNC network. Well they were hocking the Presidential dollar coins making them out to be the rarest thing on the face of the Earth. They even had some guy on that was suppose to be a bank president talking about how finding rolls at banks was like a needle in a haystack... couldnt believe the stuff they were saying on this program. I have absolutely no problem getting the new rolls from various banks in this area at all. I have a roll of every President. Of course they were selling the coins on this program... the price seemed like a rip off to me. Has anyone else caught this sham of a show yet?
All I'm gonna say is please don't let this segment of the Danbury Mint form your entire opinion of the company. Their Diecast car section is top notch.
I received my "confidential and non negotiable" notice from the Danbury Mint yesterday. For a very limited time, I can get twelve brilliant, uncirculated presidential dollars (Washington first) in a sealed collector's roll and a bonus coin in a resealable capsule for $34.95 plus $4.95 shipping and handling. If I keep paying the same price, I get the next president for the same price. After getting the third presidential set of 13 coins, I will receive a custom crafted, display case to showcase the rolls and the individual coins. I will also receive inspection gloves and a C of A. I think also that I may get an offer for some swamp land in Florida after the last purchase.
