    Here's a section for those who have an interest in the numismatic history of the Cocos (Keeling) Islands.I have got the 1977 bronze 5c. that has a palm tree on the reverse & a portrait of John Clunies Ross,who
    was the first King of the Cocos (Keeling) Islands.I know that there were some banknotes denominated in Cents & Rupees,plus the so-called 'Ivory'
    tokens of 1913.I do not know of what the date '1910' below the Coat-of-
    Arms signify.

    1910 was the year that George Clunies Ross died and his son John Sydney Clunies Ross took over the islands.
