This is one of the most amazing toned 09 vdbs I have ever seen. Gorgeous Blue and Green Toning! The pictures were very hard to capture all of this beauty as it is more vivid in hand. I need to learn to take better pics. Tom

Wow, I've seen a lot of "blue" Lincolns, but that's the bluest one I've ever seen. Should call him "Papa Smurf". :D Nice coin man. :thumb:

Blue with Giant envy... honestly it is much more blue than this. Got it out of the dealers "Better Box" of US coins. There are some really good ones in that box. Some way outta my range!

It was handed down from PAPA Smurf.

Nice pickup. I have only ever seen one Lincoln that was like that and for whatever reason I let it pass. One of them.. Man I wish I could go back in time and ...... Beautiful coin.

Just be careful that it isn't coated with mercury.
They tend to be a shiny or silvery gray BUT as time passes its appearance changes.
Don't know how to definitely tell, but they tend to feel greasy/oily.

This one is neither greasy or oily! It was just toned this way.

Nice coin! I have a Coin Contact/Friend that is a Lincoln Cent Researcher and he recently did some toning experiments on Lincoln Cents and other coins. When the experiments are complete, he notes the information and pictures then sells the coins. Since these have been slow to sell, I may try to pick up some of the better ones from him during the next local Coin Show in Knoxville.
