What do you think of this 1921 morgan dollar by Farran Zerbe ??? In addition, this piece displays the diagnostic obverse die scratch above the U in UNUM that is common to all Zerbe proof strikings. what is the price today in america?

Yours looks nothing like that. Yours is polished, much like the last few coins you posted. If not polished it's circulated at best and not a proof.

Besides. Yours is a 1921 D. Zerbe proofs are not from Denver. Boom.

There are, sorry to burst your bubble - weather this is one is impossible to tell with those pictures.
If it is it should be certified by a major TPG

According to PCGS Coinfacts, 200 1921 Zerbe Dollars were struck in Philadelphia (no mintmark) and 25 were struck in San Francisco (S mintmark). None were made in Denver. Your coin has a D mintmark on the reverse below the bow on the wreath, which means it was minted in Denver. You DO NOT have a Zerbe special strike, just a Morgan dollar that someone polished at some point in the last 98 years. Nice to keep if it has sentimental value to you, but it is only worth a little above silver melt value to collectors

some pieces were also minted in denver and there are american collectors who confirm that they have denver and it is much rarer than that of san francisco

these proof like of zerbe were the very first pieces minted in denver of the morgan 1921 series and there are different among collectors

Send it in and post the results. Why ask opinions if you are so sure of yourself?

I've NEVER heard of Zerbe proofs from Denver. The only special 1921 D Morgans I've ever heard of were the engraved ones from the first 100 coins struck and less than 20 of those are known. (one actually turned up in a junk silver lot.)

And if by some miracle a proof 1921 D Morgan did turn up, it would be from different dies than the 1921 and 21 S proofs so it would not have the diagnostic obv die mark as seen on the 1921 Philadelphia proofs.

I believe if I am correct a Zerbe REVERSE DIE was sent to DENVER and a few were punched out.
Looking at yours - it is probably not one those. Someone please come up with the article stating this fact …

If a Zerbe reverse die was sent to Denver it would not have a D mintmark
