Take a look at auction 8317724222
This guy is selling two common date good condition lincolns for $70 mil!
He is doing it based on what he calls out as pricing information from a website that shows mintage figures! So, a 54S is worth 96 million in his mind because he saw that the site showed 96 mil (the mintage figure).
First of all, what a waste of listing money... second of all, and anyone actually be that ignorant? I love the questions that have been asked and posted... folks are having a bit of fun, it seems.

Wow! Move over Bill Gates--- I just joined the Billionair club. Anyone want a real bargain? I'll sell you a roll of 54-S for only 2 billion. That's less than half the value!

I've writen this guy and tried to help him understand the value and what he was looking at.

I have done almost the same thing...looked at the price for a PF66 and not MS66 and didn't know what it was worth...I hope he sees his problem.

Honest mistake, probably, but I think forest gump said it best "Stupid is as stupid does".

Poor guy probably doesn't even realize what a 1909-VBD is worth in and of itself. Hmmm...I wonder if I could convince him that his decimal place is off and get him to sell me a 1909-S VBD for $484.00???

Anywho, thanks for sharing the laugh.

I sent him an email also... but after reading his posting, and seeing the email questions he posted (and his great statement of 'no stupid questions', I don't think he is dealing with a full deck).
I just can't imagine anyone finding those coins (I have hundreds and hundreds) and suddenly thinking they won the worlds biggest lottery...
If they really believed they had $70mil in coins, I'd think a red book, or an actual inquiry to a coin dealer would be the first order of business.
Which only leaves me with two thoughts:
    1. Complete idiot, beyond redemption
    2. Scammer with huge ambitions (so big in fact, that I refer to option #1).

Either way, not a positive statement on the educational system wherever he lives.

Oh yeah, and did you like the answer to the question on posting actual photo's that 'the coins look just like the one posted above, except with different dates' (paraphrasing).
    Really priceless stuff.
I hope he opens an ebay store so that I can see his full inventory.
Might have some silver Jeffersons worth hundreds of millions, or perhaps even some billion dollar steel pennies!

Just in case you’re not sure what a penny looks like, I guess. :p

I did not capture his user name either. Here is a copy of the message I sent him:
Hoping you already know this, and it really is not my business, but the website you refer to shows the MINTAGE of the coins, not the value. Those coins are worth a couple bucks at best. Are you joking, or just really confused?
You are wasting your listing money, and adding to the concept that ebay is full of people trying to rip off other people.

I suppose he got a number of similar emails.
