I see it for subscription on the mint website...for $31.95
    Should I subscribe????
Will me subscribing, make it so, that my order will be higher up, than anybody else's, who buys on the first day of issue?

In others words, will it be worth it, to subscribe now, OR, just wait until they come out... Will I get mine any faster, if I happen to just subscribe?

I have subscribed to get two proofs and one uncirculated. As far as the timing on when you would get the coins when Subscribing vs ordering on the spot I don't know. I guess with the Mint and some of these products the questions shouldn't be when do you get your order but if, because the Mint is always going to be late. I think that the subscriptions are good because it at least gets you in line to get the coin, set or whatever you are ordering. As for these 2009 proofs you had stated that you thought they will be worth money in another thread and I agree so all you can do is keep you nose to the grindstone and be ready to order when they come out. Look at what happened to the 1995 W.

That is what my question is. How does one order from the mint and control which mint they get their coin from?

I called the Mint and they are not sure......I called every day for 7 days and got 7 diff. rep's......5 said you will get yours first, 2 said they have had problems with subs. being FIFO...........I'm betting on the last 2.

On some items this year I have subs......I will keep subs AND order the day of issue and see which ones get delivered first.

A subscription basically assures you of getting whatever it is that you are subscribing to. As for putting you first in line, don't count on it. I've had subscriptions for products that I have received well after people who ordered on the first day of availability.

Green18 is correct, a subscription does NOT get you at the front of the line as far as delivery goes, but if it does go on sale and there is a rapid sell out or it gets cut off quickly for "blank availability" you will be assured of getting yours while some of the online orderers that wait for it to go on sale may get cancellations. In other words if they oversell they will cut online orders to satisfy subscription orders.

I think if you want this one subscribing is a no-brainer. If it goes on sale you are assured of yours and you don't have to fight the crowd, and if they don't produce it it doesn't cost you anything.

One word of advise though. Make sure the credit card you use has no chance of expiring before you get them. If you don't have such a card keep an eye on you card and as soon as you get your new one CALL the Minr customer service and have the CS rep go into that subscription order and update the card there. YOU can not do that, and just updating the card on the mint website does NOT update the card on orders already placed! So when the mint tries to fill your order it will try and bill the OLD number that the order was originally placed with. It will be declined and your order will be cancelled.
