    looking at the reverse to the viewer's left, I see the image of the obverse in the field.
    So, it would appear to be a clashed die.
    Strange that I don't see anything on the obverse. Altho, they may have pulled the die for polishing.

    What is with the planchet? It appears corroded?

    I'm afraid you'll need to post better pictures. It looks like there was some acid burn on that coin or just bad planchet in the first place.

    Looks more like a planchet error to me, but we'll need better pics to ba able to determine that man.
