This one is already slabbed. What do you think it graded?

From the photos I would guess MS 64 - 65

Ok....here is my guess...NOTE...I haven't graded many Comms before.

MS62 (maybe 63...the photo of the back is small)...to me the dark toning takes it down a peg...

I just snagged it on ebay in an old PCGS holder so I do not have my own pics yet. I will reveal the grade later.

Oh...an OLD PCGS holder...well this might change things...sometimes they under graded the coins...but my grade doesn't change ;--)

MS65 ;) Nice coin ! I think you'll find the toning looks much nicer in hand than it does in those pics.

What is the symbolism of the angel on the Texas coin? Guardian angel for all those who died at the Alamo?

It's not an angel - it's Winged Victory in celebration of their independence.

    Oh!
Female gender figure, long draped garment, big wings, how could I have not seen it was "Winged Victory!" It is all so obvious now!

    ;)

    Wise guy :D

As a general rule - when the female figure, winged or otherwise, is used on a coin they represent an allegorical figure such as Liberty, Victory, Equality, Justice etc. But every now and then they design a coin wit a female figure that represents - an actual female  I suppose that's just to keep us on our toes. And yes - I have even seen - angels !! :D

And if my memory and learning is correct, they are all modern dollar coins. The Susan B. Anthony dollar, the Sacagawea dollar coin.
And in case you might think I have not been paying attention, yes the Alabama statehood quarter has Helen Keller represented on it, but it is not “her” quarter. The other two women do have their own coin.

Sorry about the thread hijack. Did not mean for that to happen.
Very nice coin. One I hope to add to my own collection in the near future.
