    Hello everyone..
    well what i got is several coins that i got at auction last weekend and i think there pretty nice but as i have just started to learn more about grade and mint state i wanted to see what you all think of my grade.

    I followed the grade scale ie. pcgs,ngc.
    1881-s morgan
    suface preservation-4.25 x 2=8.5
    strike- 4.25
    mint luster-4.25
    eye appeal- 4.5
    total= 21.5... ms 66

    all in all there is nothing on this coin.. it clean great luster one small bag mark on eyebrow.. hard to see with out lens.
    no rub marks in luster , nice coin

    thanks
    mark

    Looks like a beautiful coin. Early San Fran Morgans rock!! That mint had it's poop in a group back then.

    Unfortuately, I really can't grade from those pics.

    Looks like a strong MS64,possibly 65.Definitely no higher because of those two scratches on the reverse.

    The '81-S is well known for being found in gem condition. The coins are almost always fully struck with great luster and wonderful eye appeal. The coins are often found in Proof Like coindition. Because of this, any marks, (even minor ones), light scratches, rim dings etc will limit the grade. This coin has all of those so I would estimate its grade at no better than MS64.
