Hello all! It's Ten Cent Tuesday, reloaded! Please post your 10 cent coins as well. Enjoy!! (Which ones are "dug"?)
These two are considered to be different types. The first was struck outside of a collar. This was struck in the collar. My god father carried this 1834 dime as a pocket piece during the last months of his life in the early 1960s. He was a heavy smoker who died fairly young of lung cancer. It taught me a lesson. I took a lot ribbing, but I wouldn't touch a cigarette in high school or any other time. I was quite "square."
This one is common and beat up, but it was a gift to me from a friend who received it in change at a Hardee's in Montgomery, Alabama, in 1999.
This did not get a FB designation. I’ve seen worse coins, so I trust myself on this one, not the TPG. This is one of my early animations. I should do it over now that I have learned more.
