Watching coin vault on TV. They currently have the silver commeratives special, 10 random (their choice) silver proof 69, with a regular price of $645 (this week) for a special price of $499.95. almost very tempting, for them to ship the ones they are actually showing, very tempting, but most likely would get the very unwanted ones. oh, they are almost sold out, so, I guess it will be a week before they show it again.
    Anyone have any thoughts?

Coin Vault TV is good for a laugh (at their prices) and thats about all its good for IMO. You would most likely get 10 commons worth spot price $35-$40 in which you would be paying a minimum of $100 to much. In all the years I ever watched that show I have never seen a coin that you would purchase even close to it's value.

Five hundred bucks would buy some really nice coins down at your local coin show. I can think of 10,000 better ways to spend five bills buying coins.

Dear dctjr80-I do not believe your comment really fits into the conversation. I said I saw the program, was very tempted, and then you go to the far extreme. I know they are overpriced and you bring up one of their most exaggerated products. Thank you for posting.

I wouldn't take a free coin from Coin Vault, just on principal.

Take about $200 of that money you are thinking about spending and set it on fire...

Then go find a decent local shop and buy the same thing with the $300 you have left.

That's about equal to buying from the TV.

Is Coin Vault the show that has the two rednecks on it? I saw one of those shows once and it was hilarious. The guy at the table asked the other guy to bring him a mountain dew. He got his pop and went to drink it and nothing came out. He said it was frozen, so he shook the bottle and opened it up. He lifted it up to peer into the opening and......Bam! the pop flew out all over his face and all over the coins on live tv. I don't think I ever laughed so hard.

I always wondered if they had a "special" on those coins after that.

Don't do it, Coin Vault is probably more overpriced than Littleton Coin Company.

Silver commems are close to melt at many shows, both MS and proof.

One of the first rules of coin collecting. "Don't buy from television shows."

I'd change that to say "One of the first rules of life is "don't buy from television at all."

My comment was correlated perfectly with the topic of this thread, as to the fact that it was the exact advertisement being sold live at the time that I mentioned it. You went to the "Far Extreme" the minute you even contemplated making a purchase from them scam artists. ;)

I will also sumbit the idea that there are 4 different silver commems that are half dollars.
I would bet money that every order somehow randomly gets 4 commem halves included in the 10 silver commems.

This is a funny thread. :D

At 6 AM, your time would be much better spent watching "Muy Buenos Dias" on Telemundo! :hail:
