Came across this ad on the local CraigsList:

That should be a bit over $260 worth of copper cents. Only a bit more than ten boxes, right? And guaranteed (at least mostly) copper?

But then I think about arriving at my house with a 180-pound container of cents, and... nah. Think I'll leave this one for someone more industrious, or with more time to fill. (I do hope that someone eventually goes through them to find goodies...)

Yeah, my wife would skin me alive. I already have a few bags of wheat cents she is unhappy enough with. Hoarding coins is all fine and dandy, (small size), but when you get into buying hundreds of pounds of stuff at a time, you kind of cross that hoarding bridge into "you need to go onto a TV show and get help" territory. :(

I like copper's potential, but would rather own the copper mining stock than fill my house with a hoard.

Haha, my wife would kill me as well. I've managed to squirrel away a few hundred wheat cents and now I can't figure out what to do with them because I've spent more on them than I'll ever get and I don't think I could sell them anyway. I'll probably end up donating them to a coin club if I can ever find one that is in need of them.
