With the Heritage world coin sale happening right now, I suspect that we will be seeing some really nice purchases posted here at CT. Here is my first Heritage win of the weekend. It is an 1890 Eine Rupee from Tanganyika (East German Africa). Please let me know what you think of it & post photos of any coins you win this weekend.

depends on where you wish to post your images. the cointalk albums are pretty simple i heard. Omnicoin is a site alot of folks use, and hear its also simple. There are dozens of sites that allow you to create albums, but omnicooin is possibly the largest for coins.

Did you get anything from the Heritage auction this weekend?

OMG, several of the coins sold on Heritage this weekend went absolutely ballistic. I was interested in the simple Greenland 5 Kronor in MS65. Unfortunately, so was every other Bidiot in the world because it went up to $750. I believe the original estimate was something like $150. I dropped out of the Bidiot race long before it got to $750.

Some really nice coins were sold. I'm surprised that we haven't seen more posted here on CT. There was a really nice Ceylon 1815 Stiver in 64RB (This is the thick coin with the elephant on the reverse).

I was looking for the 2 Taler type for a while. Won this piece.

 

The drapery on the shoulder looks like a human face & the reverse eagle is awesome. Nice coin!
