Talk about some ugly coins...

    I hit an old park today and had some luck. Unfortunately the coins are pretty ugly from the soil at this park.

    I still like the 1876 seated dime even though its pretty rough.
    I killed the poor stained up 1912 barber dime. I hate hitting em when I dig em. The 3 Indian heads are toasty and not in to good of condition. Its still fun finding old stuff in the dirt.

    Still nice finds! The 1904 is not that bad - good finds to me.

    Very impressive how much stuff is right under our feet! I'd never have guessed. Very nice, Jim. Not your fault the soil and the years didn't cooperate this time.

    how do you find the places you detect, you seem to have great luck.

    Research. Try to find places where people got together back in the day. That and a great detector plus experience = success. I only get one day a week, usually, to detect an I try to make that time count by placing myself in a spot that should produce.
