Taking Pictures of coins

    How are you guys taking such detailed pictures of your coins?? I cant even come close to the quality of the pics I see on here.

    i use a scanner then crop the image....most printers are a copy/scan/print type printer

    Make sure you have the macro on for coin shots...it should be a button with a flower on or next to it.

    Yea I think it may be time for a new camera, the macro setting on mine SUCKS!

    Ok, well i have access to a scanner, maybe I will give that a shot later this week.

    I think this has been posted before - check out tom decks page. You can see his setup, see what he has for sell and even better see his personal collection. Then practise a lot - I know it took me several days of playing just to get the one I do - and they are still not as good as some I see on the board.

    I'm not the best when it come too taking pictures, but this is with a cheap flat bed and the paint program to edit it.

    When using a camera, a tripod is a must.
