Hey everyone, it's time that CoinTalk had something more artistic than the plain t-shirts with just the logo that we have in the CafePress store. So, here's a contest to see who can do the best t-shirt design for CoinTalk.

    The Rules:
    1. The design must be related to coin collecting, and CoinTalk.com.
    2. You MUST own or have permission to use any image in your design.
    3. Sign your design with your CoinTalk member name.
    4. Have fun!

Yea, it's gotta look good on a shirt too. I'll need to get specs for the image file when I have a source for the shirts, but to start with just do the highest resolution you can. It's always easier to scale it down. But, do submit your entry at a low enough resolution that we can load it easily on the web.

We'll do a public vote for the winner and I'll print up a limited edition run of the shirts and make them available to everyone to buy. The winner, of course, gets the first one sent to him free.

For the runners up, I was thinking of making a shop at CafePress or Zazzle.com so everyone can buy one of the others as well. So, all entries please be prepared to submit an image I can use at one of those places too. Zazzle's specs are here.

Time to show off what you can do!

Sounds like a terrific contest and a wonderful way to spread the "Coin Talk" mystique Peter. Lets see what happens when I rub two sticks together.......:smile

Hmm, good question. I don't think we need to limit it that much, but we don't want to get out of hand too, let's say no more than three per member.

Lovely images so far..... I was getting a little literal with my imagined image....such as Abe talking with "coin talk" captioned out of his mouth.

I'm about as talented as a Lincoln cent. I wonder if somebody with talent could enlarge one of the classic ABNCo or BEP currency or stock vignettes then use it as the design for one side of the T-shirt? I don't think the BEP or ABNCo would mind.

How about Mount Rushmore like images: Morgan, Peace, Abe, Jefferson or Buffalo, JFK, etc. The tourist sign to the Mt would read: COIN TALK.COM.(free). Sorry no pics to post. I am a little stronger with ideas than drawings.

That third design is awesome! I am not that artistic so I don't think I will be partcipating.
