You should put this in the world coin section and not the US section. You'll get a better response.

    guessing F-VF cleaned.

    Switzerland. 1865, .835 silver, low mintage-10,000
    2004 Krause catalog grade/value KM#S8
    VF-$65.00 XF-$100.00 UNC-$175.00 BU-$300.00
    1865 specimen- $1,200.00 ?

I am sure the values are higher now just not sure what they are yet ?

after looking at different grades on completed auctions on Ebay I changed the grade to F-VF. the rams/sheeps head on the reverse on your coin looks very flat on your coin. hence the grade change. sorry. still a low mintage coin. how much did you pay ?

Just $10.00 plus shipping. Do you think I should send to grade it? I think it's will be very expensive to grade, don't?

no. not worth it. the logic being if the grading fees are worth more than the coin's value then no. I think you got a great deal for $10. wait for more opinions on grade and value...

What you tell me is that the coin could be a fake. The question is why someone would use 26.4g of pure silver to make a fake coin that could worth $100 max? I really don't understand.

Well, at least, I can melt it and still have more money than I spent.

BUT is it silver or just white metal??!!

Better to try and claim a refund for a fake. Melt value of White Metal = $0

Why make it in silver? If they made it in silver, and it's same size, why is the weight off by that much?

I'd just return it. You spent 10+shipping and you got a fake coin unlikely silver, even if silver it's worth less than 10+shipping.
