I recently picked up a 1 Rappen coin from 1850 together with a whole bunch of European copper. I know book values (Krause) for Swiss coins are inflated somewhat, but that looks to be a bit much (VF20 at $125!). Any ideas why this is priced the way it is? Any ideas on an actual price? cool coin. you are right that is a high mintage number. have you seen what the completed auctions on Ebay go for ? that is what I would do. maybe there is a switzerland coin collector in here CT that could tell you more about the actual prices for the grade.
