I just deleted the fist five lines of this post as it really just doesn't come across vey well to a largely US audience......it was all about being frank and not always making the right decisions regarding the buying of coins but then it reminded me of the last time I was in the States when I told what I thought was a really amusing story of a fopar I made in a Law office in DC. I think the Brits can laugh at themselves more readily than Americans.............this suit, a top lawyer for the Rebublicans asked me during an interview if I knew who Dr Spock was....no answer, the question was repeated, so I hesitantly replied, isn't he an actor off Star Trek. The look on his face was priceless, I had obviously arrived from Mars not Staffordshire England. When I told my new found friends this in the bar that night they couldn't believe I was actally admitting my ignorance. So I'll keep my dumb coin buying to myself!

This is worthy of another quote - "the truly wise man knows how much more there is that he has yet to learn"

Too many times people are afraid to show or admit their ignorance to others for fear of being thought ignorant by those others. But the thing that one must realize is that the only ones who will think you ignorant are those who are ignorant themselves.

You see, it is not so much courage that allows one to admit ignorance as it is wisdom. And those others who have wisdom will recognize this, while those ohers who are ignorant will not ;)

So who is it you would rather be recognized by - the wise, or the ignorant ?
