to CoinTalk sweetp. The obverse legend on your coin translates as "Ludwig King of Bavaria". Ludwig I reigned from 1825-1848 over the German State of Bavaria before the unification of Germany into the German Empire late in the 19th Century. A Google search on the reverse legend brings up a lot of German websites. There was one reference indicating that the term was the motto of Ludwig I, but I have been unable to locate a translation of the term - Babelfish just tells me there is a translation error. The Standard Catalog of World Coins shows multiple silver coins under Bavaria at that time, so in order to specifically identify it we need to know its size and denomination if there are any numbers on the coin other than the date. The value will depend on the condition of the coin as well as the size, so if you can post pictures it would be very helpful. Perhaps one of our German speaking members will see your post, and fill us in on the meaning of Ludwig's motto.
is this your coin? if so it is a coin of Ludwig I King of Bavaria 1825-1848. its a Kronentaler...the coin above sold for a bit over 200+ USD
could be wrong but GERECHT UND BEHARRLICH translates to 'Fair and Persisant' but I dont know german very well at all and could be completely off.
