Hello Folks. So this 1971 S got me looking because the bottom side of the S is filled or it looks like doubled or something below it. Some angles I see what I think is the good doubling. Liberty for the most part and the front of jacket and bow tie.Any help would be cool. Thanks in advance I'm working on my 10 photo posts. got it down to 3 so I'm doing better.
I can't see it (mintmark) well enough to say if it's due to a break or from moved metal due to a hit/damage, but is almost certainly one of the two. Good to see you're still around.
Eventually, after you see enough of them, many cents from 1968 S-1974 S will show what appears to be doubling but is not. It's like Books says.
