Upon opening my latest order (Claudius II Tetradrachm), I was stunned to discover 2 extra tetradrachms and this coin in the package. I contacted the dealer to ask if he had mixed up my order with someone else's. He said no, they are a gift for a good repeat customer. Incredible generosity (and of course guaranteeing my future custom).
Anyway, onto the coin, a first of its type for my collection. Needs a long soak in distilled water to loosen the crusty deposits from it's long sleep underground.

Awesome! You have to love a dealer like that.

Here's a silver dirham of Kaykhusraw II that I owned. Sadly, the TPG I sent it to (PCGS, I think it was) did not consider it an eligible type for certification, for some weird reason.

Yes! The famous sun/lion type from the same Sultan. Like it!
