Struck-thru Capped Die Cent

    Yes, thru a very late stage, thinning, Capped Die.

    An earlier stage would have a brockage obv., but this is
    so late a stage that the capped has thinned out so much
    that Lincoln's head is coming thru the (now) very thin piece
    of metal capping the die.

    Thanks Fred, And yes on error-ref.com it said "Late-Stage Capped Die Strike" was a more specific nomenclature. I would like to think it could be called a "Mid-Stage"
    due to the fact that on a "Late-Stage" you can start to read the date.
    But I may be just be picking nits with that.
