Strike through error?

    Newbie here- what kind of error is this? Someone from another site said strike though error, also said rare to have it on obverse & reverse. Thank you in advance

    Could be a thin layer of debris on the surface of the die. It is common on quarters and dimes. I associate this with die deterioration. No premium.

    Die Deterioration. They minted 774,824,000, but at 1 million per die pair, that would mean 774+ pairs, and no telling the overage runs per pair. I’ve seen this on all the State quarters as well as ATB…very common and a disqualifier (for keeping) …imo…Spark
