Strange us cent .

I bought this cent old and looks strange .

Your right , it does look strange.

 

Well, the reverse is of the Lincoln Memorial, and this design was present on cents from 1959 to 2008. The obverse, on the other hand, has clearly been altered as it should depict President Lincoln. As to what method used to alter this cent…I haven’t a clue. Hopefully someone with more experience in this area will come along and take a gander. :yes:

It looks like someone was experimenting on engraving. Reminds me of a 'hobo nickel' style.

As far as what it is worth... you tell us! You bought it! That's what it is worth to you.

 

I paid about one dollar.

It's from Remulak. Beldar dropped it in New Jersey back in '93........
