    hey guys,

a couple of years back I found an odd delaware state quarter with a large whole around the middle of the coin. Does this sound like a mint error or just someone messing around with coins?

It's not uncommon for people to punch, or drill holes in coins.
Also, I've never heard of a mint error that matches your description.

A large hole? Sounds like someone having fun with a quarter.

well, when I first got it,

i thought someone took a 3/26 drill bit and drilled a hole into it to attach a string to, put in a vending machine, and to pull back out to get free sodas

then i thought it might be a mint error

(by the way, I never used it to cheat vending machines, like other guys my age would)

Well I don't know if that would actually work any longer. Most vending machines now have a one way slot.
