hey i have had this strange looking U.S. quarter for awhile now. I cant any kind of info on it anywhere. It has the tail side in tact, but the front is smooth, with the initials F.B. and a leaf above the initials. The back has the abbreviated QUAR. DOL. with what looks like a O mintmark. anybody have any ideas on what it might be?

A seated quarter? Pics would help or you could google seated quarters and see if it is a match.

we would need pictures to be sure but it sounds like it may be a barber quarter

Nope. Ive been looking for awhile, and havent seen anything like it.. the front has been completely blanked and then initialed., so i dont know the exact date. it is a seated liberty judging by the eagle on the back.

Is it an engraved love token on a seated quarter? There is a decent collector market for those. Price would depend on the beauty of the engraving.

Definitely a love token with a seated quarter.
