I've been looking around trying to find out if this is a true error or not and I came across this forum in my searches. I can't find anything like it anywhere. It has a strange indent on the back side with swirls. Has anyone seen anything like this before? Any help would be appreciated!

The coin was machined on a lathe. For what purpose? It may have had another piece that fit over it. A magicians coin. Maybe someone else knows more about these.

I've heard of people making rings out of coins, perhaps someone was trying to do so and realized they were doing a better job of dulling dad's wood carving lathe tools ;)

Looks like a poor attempt at a magician's coin. Below is another with the cutout still intact. Has a mecury dime welded to the other side of the cutout.
