Strange Half Dollar#2

    Ok gang... here is another one that is very similar to the one I posted earlier this week.

    This coin is perplexing because in the struck fields it shoes decent original luster.

    Thoughts?

    Looks like a die adjustment strike to me. They just didnt have the pressure correct. I have one very similar as well . I think they are neat errors :thumb:

    Adjustment strike was my first thought as well.

    If that is a die adjustment strike it might have been one of the first ones struck, maybe it would get a first strike designation if you were to send it in for grading.

    Can you make out the date on it? 1979?

    could it be struck through like 500 lbs of grease?
