What type of error is this? And what is its approximate value?

Looks like a cud… not sure it’s going to add much value though. A more knowledgeable member on foreign coin values is needed for that.

I’m not convinced that is an error.

Thank you. I got it in change. So 2 dollars ( 166 rupees ). Is still a huge profit for me.

Totally not disagreeing, wanting to learn.... What are you seeing that tells you its not an error?

I would like to see the opposite side. Looks like a cud though.

It actually looks like part of the design on the coin.

I checked on Numista.com and it is not part of the design at all.

It is not visible in the image but some die is missing in this side exactly opposite to the other side where the cud like design is present.

I see it. The shallow void went into the cud area opposite it.

Does all cud error coins have a shallow void behind it ?

A cud is a chunk of metal that broke from the die face. The look is a blob of metal that is raised higher than the details of the coin and has no definition.
When the reverse is struck it leaves an area opposite the cud with minimal detail, if any, depending how big the cud is on the opposite side.
