Strange coin

    Found in Fathers collection. Same coin both sides . Clinks like a penny Magnet doesn't pick up. Ideas? Thank You Cannot tell it from other pennies. I know possible magicians coin. How do we tell . Thanks again

    probably and old magicians coin, or trick coin. The kind that have the same sides.

    You can find same side quarters, half dollars, etc on amazon too.

    Thank You. We thought this but having a super hard time with this one. Been in Fathers collection around 70 years. He recently passed and going thru quite a few old coins

    Look very closely at the outside edges with the best magnifying glass you have. You should be able to find a seam. Now some of these guys that made these coins are some pretty good craftsmen. But they have to leave a seam to make them.

    Here is a picture of the edge of a Kennedy Half that is a magician's coin. You can see where it was 'cut' apart leaving the grove. I actually found this in a roll. Never have been able to get it apart.

    I took a few more pictures to see if it helps. We honestly can't find the groove. I know its impossible to happen but thought I'd post anyway Thank You all

    I believe I can see the seam on the edge of the coin but it is hard to tell on the images. The first image of the edge is out of focus and the second is over lit and slightly out of focus.

    Look at the your last pic of the edge. You can see the seam starting to separate along the edge
