I have these strange coins- no idea where there from. Anything about them helps. Language, shape name, decade of creation, area of mintage, coin worth.

Sorry if this isn't the correct place for this post- seemed like the best place I could find.

    Looking forward to responses.

These "strange" coins are known by the common name of "Widow's Mites", the smallest circulating copper coin around the time of Jesus Christ and mentioned in the bible. These look kind of fake to me, suspicious about both of them having the same irregular shape.

This particular fake was glued to a paper advertising some book on Bible history or Holy Land travel. People who got the ad peeled off the 'coin' and threw out the paper part of the ad so they turn up when someone finds one in a drawer. They really look little like the original (example below) which is a cheap item in the ancient market because there are millions of them still in existence. Nicer ones with readable legends (especially the tiny Hebrew on the wheel side) will cost more. Fakes are worthless. If you want more on the subject, hang around the ancient section of Coin Talk.
