With so many people finding the 2 headed or 2 tailed magician/flipper coins that they have their own sticky thread I thought I was just unlucky having never found one. Well I finally found my first altered half, found it in a roll that i got several months ago and just looked at for silver(by just looking at the edge) then put them away. I finally got around to actually looking them over and found this. Not a 2 headed/tailed but I think it is kinda kool.
the penny should come out and flip over to something else unless you have just one of the pieces. COngrats!
The obverse side is the cap, the reverse is the insert and it has the normal half reverse on one side of it and the penny on the other. You can flip it around and it looks like a normal half.
the trick this coin is used for is called "scotch and soda" there is a special tool for separating the peaces . oh and a new one runs about $20 so a good find any way you look at it.
