are there any known 1992D RPM's? This coin also has doubling on the mem. bld. can any one explain or identify this variety:desk:
There are NO RPMs after 1989. In 1990 the Mint started adding the mintmarks directly to the design. However, a mintmark can be hub doubled after 1990, which previously was impossible as the mintmark was added after hubbing. The pictures are not clear enough to give a definitive opinion, but I would lean toward the usual suspects: plating split doubling, die deterioration doubling or machine doubling (or a combination of two or three).
