Strange 1971 D penny. Lincolns hair is "slick back"

    I found this 1971 D penny and Lincolns hair looks like a "slick back" hair style. It's extra shiny than the rest of the coin and as you can see in the last picture, it's slightly raised up and feels rough. Sorry for the quality of the pictures, I had to use an iphone camera.

    I don't think it's an error but it's just strange. Any thoughts?
