store coins

    Is it okay to keep my bottles of coins in the attic or basement?

    Personally, I avoid storing coins in places like that. There is too much temperature variation and also humidity problems.

    Thanks; I just don't know where to put them - closet okay?

    I think it all comes down to environment for the coins sake and security for your sake.

    A dry, comfortable temperature place with nothing that can outgas in the immediate area is best to store coins in. Of course, crooks probably look in closets right after the sock drawer and under the bed. :)

    I was about to put big soda bottles of misc. coins in the basement area.
