Had to go to the area of town where the local bullion/coin store is located , so I dropped in, and he had binders he had bought filled with 2x2 coins, with 20 cents, 30 cents, etc. wrote on them from many moons ago. I asked how much for a 1928-S with the large S, I had picked out of a page. He said 25 cents each. I said OK, I will take this one..he said nope, you have to buy 4 for $. I said OK, and then gave him the 28-S as he didn't have one in his album and I took the 4 below. Jim
Good deal! I was looking at a new cent today that I would like to add to my collection - a 1922 NO D - STRONG REV. But the price tag was $700. Seems alittle high for a VG8. Speedy
yeah I know, but I was on Heritage and it looked like they were going maybe alittle cheaper. He pulled out the GS and quoted it and said that was about what he had in it. Normally he cuts me a good deal, I'm just not sure on this one. Speedy
The 21-S was labeled VG. But I think it was put into the cardboard 2x2 in the 60s or 70s. The Redbook 1988 rice on a VG was .85 Some people look for PCGS Rattlers, maybe a good idea to look for old stained and frazzeled 2x2s. Jim
That's what is so great about buying weak struck dates, everyone undergrades them. And it helps its a woody. I can guarantee that wouldn't slab lower then XF 40
