I picked up another box of pennies today, and from about 15 rolls, I've gotten about 300 wheaties, at least 10 S mint teens dates, and two Indian heads, one 1909 V.D.B, 6 steel cents, and what looks to be a steel planchet, but there are features of an actual stamped cent. Does this look like PMD, or just a badly stamped, rejected steelie? Thanks!
That thing bathed in acid for a year! Lol! I love it I wish it was in my "damaged" found-in-circulation collection
Where do you pick up a box of that many pennies? Do you just go to a bank and ask for 'X' amount of rolls and ask for old ones?
Actually, I just went in and asked for a box of pennies, and they just happened to compile a box from rolls that were deposited instead of a closed box. I also got some rolls of halves from here, and got 2 40% Kennedy's and one g-4 1942 WLH!
I just took a closer look at it yesterday, and it looks to have the outline details of a wheat cent, but its not magnetic, which would mean that its not steel. So...what does this mean? It doesn't appear to have been coated in anything either, but I don't know for certain. Is that the only other explanation??
