I have been working on an uncleaned batch. Some interim results are below:
Still have some work to do.

The licinius II looks great. Good work. I find myself more and more tempted to grab uncleaned lots.

When it comes to ancients I found it difficult to develop a theme. So, I decided to just get uncleaned, clean them, identify them and catalog them. It doesn't matter if I have several duplicates. The fun was taking a coin that was difficult or impossible to recognize and identifying it. I always end up with a few culls. But, that's OK.

Those do not appear to be real uncleaned. What I mean is that it appears that they were cleaned, likely by chemical bath, prior to your before photo. This is very common with many "uncleaned lots" being sold today. They have already been subject to often-harsh cleaning in an attempt to find silver or scarer types. There can still be some dirt or gunk on them though.

You are therefore left engaging in what can often be described as restoration or protection as much as cleaning. It is often much more difficult to get a good result than with a true uncleaned coin.

Your before-after photos show that you have definitely improved both coins a great deal!

Thanks for the feedback and support. Given the 'restoration' comment, would it be advisable to use REN Wax before final storage?

Both coins show signs of possibly having had bronze disease in the past - the red blisters and maybe the powdery greenish residue. I don't think they have anything active right now, from your photos. But personally, I would leave them a while first to make sure there is no sign of BD before waxing.
