I don't know if any of you collect the statehood quarter spoons but Coin World just ran a story on those $7.95 spoons and I was absolutely SHOCKED to see what they are worth now. My wife started collecting them, just for the fun of it, when the program started. Needless to say she now has taken a subscription to the mint program as some of those spoons have risen in value 100 times! North Carolina currently selling in the $600 to $800 range! I didn't think I would ever say I wish I was collecting spoons but seeing how no more than 4000 complete sets can now be put together.....I wish I was collecting spoons!!! By the time this set is complete they will probably be worth $4 thousand dollars, give or take a few bucks!
