Now that the State/Territorial Quarter Series has ended, I've decided to put together a nice BU/Proof set while they're still relatively inexpensive. I figured I'd start with the keys and go from there. A few that caught my eye are the low mintage satin finish ones, particularly the 2008-P's & D's, with a mintage of approximately 745,000, which looks like the lowest mintage of the series. I know the silver proofs are also low with similar mintages. Any other thoughts about the series?

I started a while back.. getting them from the Bank in Rolls and searching for the best coins... Face Value Cost is the best.. When I have to travel or friends travel to the east coast I have them get me rolls from the banks for my "P" Mint..
I don't know for sure right now..Just because It is too early to research anything.. (Not enough coffee yet) But the 2009 Territory D mints were the Lowest mintage.. I am sure someone will correct me.. or Confirm??
PM me if you would like.. I think I have some BU nice ones left for 2008-2009?? I will look.. This place is a Mess of coins.. My Office has become a Dante Inferno of coins.. Wait.. No.. a Who Concert of Coins... Ah.. A "Burning Man" Of coins?? .... COFFEE!!

Looks like the P & D's shared the lowest.

I just replied to your thread about Memorial Cents that I now have a set of those. I also have a set of the DC and Territorial Quarters as well. I would appreciatel it if you would stop immediatley collecting everything I have collected. Where do you get the insider info on my collecting?

LOL That's what makes the price increase, more demand.

Seriously though, I do think they are a very beautiful one year series. For me there are some firsts as far as collecting goes. I have a set of the clad proofs and silver proofs in PF 70 by NGC, only 70s I have ever owned. I also have a set of the Satin Finish, first satin finish coins I have ever owned. I have since added a set of the '09 Lincoln Cent Satin Finish to my collection.

Yep, love those satins, especially the 09 Lincolns. Hoping the sales stay low, but unlikely, which would make the 08's the lowest mintage.

As far as the quarters go.. They have huge mintage but was a easy set to get.. It started with the PF70's .. I wanted to get all the States I lived in..
Sadly the Hawaii is the Pricey one.. To much in 70 to spend since I only lived there for 6 months.. so only got that one in PF69.. All in Silver..
I think I will see if the price is down and maybe upgrade that 69.

Nice coins - smart to buy the low mintage silvers.
