Show your star coins! Five or six sides OK! But they must be a central part of the design, not a border pattern. For that reason this thread is here, since I can only think of one US issue that qualifies (If there are more, show them). Here is the starter example, a 1967 half pesawa from Ghana, star on reverse. The star is also a central emblem on the Ghanaian flag.
Gxseries, those are very nice Commie Russian silver 50 Kopecks & 1 Rouble coins.I think there are 2 subtypes for the 1922,both differing in the mintmaster's initials on the edge of the coins. Brad, both the 1958 & 1965 issues,as well as the 1967-75 issues all depict a star on the reverses of the coins. Aidan.
Thanks for showing those Moroccan and CCCP issues. You'll know this one too of course. Nigeria under the British, 1/10 penny, 1908.
Brad, that 1/10 Penny was issued for Nigeria - British West Africa (1906-11).Nigeria did have stars on their coins in 1959-62.British West Africa did issue coins between 1912 & 1958 though. Aidan.
Where are all the 3CS guys?! Don't own any myself. I prefer stars as a secondary device (near the rim).
