(No, I'm not talking about TMNT here.. ) I've got a bunch of old-style notes, and stars, I've accumulated. Nothing fancy, but I've got a need for the money. The old-style notes are: $10 - 1985 - G08382084B $10 - 1993 - B48944693D $20 - 1985 - G44462433A $20 - 1993 - B35781212F $20 - 1993 - B59408282E $20 - 1993 - B70654518E $100 - 1974 - L34513165A $100 - 1990 - G20738314A $100 - 1990 - H31937638A Stars: $5 - 2001 - CL01774177* $5 - 2001 - CL02766652* $5 - 2003 - DL07744871* $10 - 1999 - BF16138334* $10 - 1999 - BF16311553* $10 - 1999 - BF16543366* $10 - 1999 - BF17013722* $10 - 2001 - CD00742919* $10 - 2003 - DD01037872* $10 - 2003 - DD01263361* $10 - 2003 - DJ00971392* $10 - 2004A - GA01493919* $20 - 1996 - AA07862409* $20 - 1996 - AC02741832* $20 - 1996 - AL00769880* $20 - 1999 - BB09145478* $20 - 2004 - EA08632591* $20 - 2004 - EC01837077* $100 - 2003A - FG00806521* With the exception of the $100 star, the majority of the notes all show signs of circulation, creases, folded corners, etc. The stars, as far as I can tell, are all from runs of 1,920,000-3,200,000, not exactly rare notes. Is it worth trying to sell (for whatever they fetch) and/or save from the shredder, or should I just let the notes go quietly back into circulation? Thanks for any advice guys.
this is my 2 cents keep them if you need th emoney sell them if you cant sell them then list them here on coin talk for memebers to buy it from you at face value if that doesnt work release them into circulation
Spcok has wise advice althought it may not be worth it to try to sell on Ebay, especially if the notes show alot of wear. The Open section is always a good place! good luck!
What the other guys said. I don't see anything "amazing" on your list so ebay fees would probably eat into any profit. Hundreds are hard to move. I have sold at face to a CoinTalk member in the past. Would rather another member got them than the shredder.
am in the same boat....got a few that I don't want to spend but will end up posting some here and on EBay.
ahh leave him alone. I'm sure he has enough problems with trademark lawsuits from Leonard Nimoy. OP, try stopping by a local coin club and see if you can get anything for them. Even face is better than letting them be shredded and if you offer them up at face, you could just find yourself alot of new friends at the local coin club.
